Within the application procedure we process all personal data which you transmitted to us with your application documents, e.g.

  • Your master data (such as first name, name, academic title)
  • If necessary, work permit or residence permit
  • Contact details (such as address, (mobile) telephone number, Email address)
  • Skill data (such as knowledge and skills)
  • Other data (such as grades, periods of employment)


Your application documents will be processed only for an occupation of the concrete position you applied for. They will be recorded electronically in our system drive and Share Point and are only available to the persons involved in the relevant application process (managing directors, Head of the department which is publishing the vacancy, and Human Resources) to evaluate your qualification and professional experiences according to the job opening.


The legal framework for this is Article 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (1) in conjunction with Section 26 (8) sentence 2 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Personal data is recorded on the secured servers of our service provider Wortmann AG, which is contractually obligated to process data in accordance with instructions pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.


The data is not be shared with third parties and not transferred to third countries.


Your informed consent is required for every processing of your data beyond that. If necessary, we will contact you in this regard.


You are entitled to revoke your consent at any time for future data processing (Art. 7 GDPR).


You have the right of information (Art. 15 GDPR) about the personal data collected, as well as the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) or erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and a right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) to processing and, where applicable, a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). These rights cannot be exercised retroactively and may have an impact on the application process.


Furthermore, you have the right of appeal to the representative for data protection and freedom of information of Thuringia.


We store your personal data as long as necessary for the decision about your application. In case no employment relationship comes off your data will be deleted within 4 months after rejection, unless an extended storage of your data is necessary due to to legal disputes.


There is no legal or contractual obligation to provide the personal data. An automatic decision-making according to Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.
